Denzel played QB & DB for Thorp HS. He was asked to switch to QB his senior year and led his team to the State finals. Denzel was also named Honorable Mention All State DB. Denzel comes from a family that has produced 2 Navy veterans.

Coach Stokes spoke highly of Denzel: Denzel is the epitome of the character every coach wants students to display. When he talks to his peers, parents, faculty or staff he looks you in the eye and speaks with confidence. He challenges himself to be the best student he can be. He also helps others find success in the classroom and comes prepared in entering the building each day. My sons have truly benefited from his presence. They look up to him! He has shown others that it can be cool to do things the right way!”

Denzel plans to attend University of Minnesota Moorhead, play football and study Pre Med Biology.
