Tanner played TE & DE for Greenfield HS. He was 1st team All Conference both ways. Tanner has taken 8 AP courses. Tanner had a 4.075GPA and 33 ACT as well as a member of the National Honor Society.

Coach Kubes had this to say about Tanner: “Tanner harbors positive and meaningful relationships with his teammates and peers. One can tell that young men are not only better players because of Tanner but better people because of their connection with him. Tanner routinely sacrificed his own personal success to lift up his teammates. Tanner is a ‘program player’ who is only concerned about the success of the whole instead of individual accolades. Tanner also served as a mentor and academic tutor for his teammates.”

Tanner plans to go to Northern Illinois University, play football, and study Engineering.
