Nolan Schopp - Kettle Moraine

Nolan is the embodiment of a scholar athlete and football player. Coach McDonnell states, “Nolan changed the trajectory of our school & football program. Nolan was 1st Team All State as a TE & LB but played 4 different positions leading the Lasers to their State Championship season.” Nolan was the epitome of a servant leader as after every game Nolan would clean the locker room making sure it was spotless. Coach McDonnell commended Nolan for being a first class person that works hard, smiles, and is nice to everyone.

In his essay Nolan describes the importance of football for him personally. “Football has captivated the past 4 years of my life and instilled many values that I will hold and put forth for the rest of my life. It has given me the blessing of strong and forever lasting relationships along with the gift of seeing how with hard work you can truly accomplish your goals. The structure, family, and lessons it has given me and challenged me with has helped shape me into the person I am and will continue to become. I will never forget the true feeling of welcoming that I had and how that evolved into friendships that will last a lifetime.”

Nolan plans to attend Michigan Tech University, play football, and study Chemical Engineering.
