Erasmus Okey - Potosi/Cassville

Raz was the QB and captain of his football team, Raz plays 3 sports and is the valedictorian of his class. Coach Siegert says, “Raz is a leader by example who talks the talk and walks the walk. He can always be seen doing the right thing, on and off the field. He understands what many of us take a lifetime to figure out, that each day is a gift. Raz makes others better by just being around him.” Raz’s off the field activities include Student Council, FFA, band & musicals. He has worked youth athletic camps, church mission trips, and helped with non profit fundraisers.

Raz states in his essay, “Football has always been a favorite sport of mine and is a passion that I shared with my late father. I have learned the importance of teamwork, leadership, hard work, and determination. Although I have faced some setbacks in high school, those setbacks are what helped me strive to be the best version of myself on & off the field. It has taught me to succeed in life outside of sports. Football has taught me to face challenges head on and never give up.”

Raz plans to attend UW-Whitewater and study Marketing.
